One very experienced admission director
who attended our recent Enrollment Blitz
workshop said: “This is the best training
I’ve ever attended—and I’ve been doing
admissions for over twenty years. I’m really
excited about taking these strategies
back to my school.”

My Friend,

What does it take to grow a school? That's the question that administrators and board leaders like you and me are constantly asking. Because the competition is getting tough!

Enrollment is more complicated than some people think, and growing is much easier when everyone on the campus is committed to building stronger relationships and delivering on the mission together. In other words, admissions is everyone's job--faculty included.

We both know that the admissions office and the business office make a big impact when it comes to growing enrollment. To help your school improve in both areas, below are some links with resources that will help raise the bar for excellence.

We're also hosting live training in April and May that will accelerate your growth:

The Best Schools Have Servant-Leaders in the Business Office

We're excited to share with you a recent conversation that Scott Barron, our CEO, had with Frank Aloise. As the CFO of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy for 16 years, having served as the board chair of NBOA, and as the past board chair of PAISBOA, Frank has seen the ups and downs of school leadership... Read More

Optimizing the Admissions Office

Optimizing the Admissions Office is a great way to grow. That's why we've created a program that analyzes your historical enrollment data and your processes to assess the best ways to succeed. By clarifying your strengths and areas of need, we'll help you develop a path to accelerated growth  through “raving fans” who will energize the school community to inspire word-of-mouth marketing.  Learn_More_Button.jpg

FREE 4-Part Webinar Series
Each Tuesday in April, 2PM ET

The Business Office of your school is key to accelerating growth. Whether you have 1 person wearing multiple "hats" or 10+ people in your business office who share the work load, those with a servant-leadership attitude have a big advantage. In April we're sharing a free webinar series entitled, "The Consultative Business Officer: Exposed," where we'll show you what differentiates the all stars from the average, and how you can increase your value as an asset on the campus.

Frank Aloise: "Get out of the office!"

One of my favorite insights from the interview with Frank was his response to the last question. I asked him what advice he would give to the year 2000 version of himself when he was just starting out at as the CFO at SCH.  His response: "Get out of the Office!"

Frank went on to explain that building  relationships across the campus is critical because you have to win as a team. Leaders in the business office should often have lunch with the faculty and find other ways to spend time with administrators. You need their trust, which is much easier when they know you as a person rather than just as the budget watchdog.

Doing that, of course, requires changing how you use your time. I'm currently reading the book, Smarter, Faster, Better, by Charles Duhigg, and will share with you some of the strategies he recommends for finding more time in the day.

Keep Growing!
