Why Do Some Schools Grow
and Others ... Just No?
My Friend, last week I was in a city teaching the Enrollment Blitz workshop to some schools that have historically enjoyed a dominate advantage when it comes to enrollment and fundraising. Their interest in admission strategies has been greatly accelerated, however, because a new type of school opened up in the neighborhood a few years ago and it's rocking their world--that new school will open up 2016-17 with 7 sections of kindergarten!
What would you do to respond to such aggressive competition?
Talent is still the place to start. School Growth was recently engaged by a Catholic School where the chief administrator has her priorities straight. We started by hosting our proprietary Talent Lab to give their leadership team accurate clarity regarding the quality of the faculty, assessment of the critical school culture, and an activation plan for upgrading both. Deeper learning about the school is achieved as we Optimize the Admission Office and conduct Target Market Family Research. Finally, we're guiding strategy implementation through Leadership Coaching for the Head and the Chair of the Board.
Leadership Development is next. Most schools are utilizing only 40-60% of their leadership capacity, but the School Growth Method enables administrators to produce better results in less time with the same resources. There is zero evidence that a school can simply copy the strategies of another successful program and achieve the same outcomes.
At the PAISBOA Symposium on June 28, we led fifteen schools through our Innovation Lab, where they produced a 90-Day Growth Plan to achieve remarkable results by September 30th. Successful school leaders today are developing the habits, relationships, and organizational DNA to breakthrough the chaos to produce short-term, momentum-building progress that transforms their ability to grow and achieve excellence.
The competition is rising--are you ready? Your faculty and families are counting on you to step up to the challenge and we've got the professional development and tools to help you win.
Keep Growing!
