Claiborne Christian School in West Monroe, Louisiana, has retained School Growth to lead their search for a new preschool director. Claiborne is part of the thriving ministry at Family Church, where the atmosphere really matches with the name. The enthusiastic environment in both the church and the school exhibit a warmth and connection that is very special.
I had the privilege of visiting with Lee Taylor, Head of School at Claiborne, and have been quite impressed with the leadership, the vision, and the plans. What stood out to me is the employee culture of the church and school that highly values the strengths of each leader with a healthy level of accountability and lots of opportunities for growth. They truly invest in their people!
During my visit Lee gave me a tour of their beautiful campus as well as showing me around town. Which, if you know anything about West Monroe, must include a visit to the Duck Commander headquarters of Duck Dynasty fame. This small city of over 20,000 has many unique features and attractions.
The new preschool director will be responsible for all facets of the program that serves infants through three-year-olds. This person will need to have experience in preschool leadership as a teacher and, ideally, as an assistant director or director.
The preschool director will be part of the larger ministry of Family Church, so this role involves commitment to both the preschool program and the church. A personal and fully committed relationship with Jesus Christ is very important for this position.
Enthusiastic support and engagement in this ministry to families and the ability to build enrollment in the preschool and school will be vital for this job. Claiborne is seeking an energetic achiever who understands how to set goals and build a team to achieve them. This person needs to be organized, have a love for children, and be an effective communicator.
