In One Day We Achieved Clarity, Unity, and Engagement with Springside Chestnut Hill Academy
Hi, My Friend!
Ever heard of a Clarity Summit? Probably not but we custom designed this powerful learning experience in collaboration with Dr. Steve Druggan, Head of School at SCH.
The full scope of school stakeholders were invited: board members, administrators, teachers, staff, students, parents, and alumni. It was an all day event on Saturday, February 11th, 2017, starting at 8:00 AM and finishing at 4:00 PM. Large group and small group strategies were used to tap into the strengths, passions, perspectives, and genius of each person who participated.
The goals for the Summit were significant:
- Produce draft revisions of a compelling school mission statement that could be submitted to the board for consideration;
- Revise the core values of the school to best articulate the desired culture and people;
- Increase the level of energy and engagement among the participating people and groups;
- Have fun and foster deeper learning throughout the process.
Bottom line: Mission Accomplished -- ALL four of these goals were achieved!
The day after the Clarity Summit we received an email from a board member that read:
"Thanks again for facilitating a great program at our school. I was somewhat skeptical going into the day, especially with the prospect of having so many participants come together with any meaningful end product. To be honest, I had actually planned to leave early. But the Summit was clearly well planned and extremely well executed. And the outcome far exceeded my expectations.”
Dr. Druggan added:
“Thank you for your support and leadership that resulted in a very positive Clarity Summit. From what I could tell the energy, collaboration and outcomes exceeded my expectations. I’m looking forward to working with School Growth to continue the positive momentum!”
What if you could achieve that same level of clarity, unity, and engagement on your campus? Let me know if you would like to explore such a plan.
Keep Growing,
Tammy
