The Hard Truth about Growing Schools

My Friend, how can a school grow 65% in less than 5 years, with less frustrations and higher quality?!?

The Hard Truth: There's no magic formula-- Success requires disciplined leadership with a relentless focus on talent

Lee Taylor is the Head of School at Claiborne Christian School in West Monroe, LA. He transformed this 35 year old campus with a 65% enrollment increase by investing in School Growth's Innovation Lab, implementing the TQ strategies of our Talent & Team Workshop, and accelerating through the learning curves School_Growth_Purpose.pngwith Leadership Coaching. (Read More & Watch the Video about Lee's Success).

Those are the foundation stones of the School Growth Method: Disciplined leadership with a relentless focus
on talent.

Last week we taught our Building Faculty Engagement Workshop to three schools in three consecutive days. Teacher orientation is a great time to deliver this professional development for Faculty Engagement, but this message should also be shared frequently throughout the year and with different voices to reinforce the key points. (Article: 3 in 3 Faculty Engagement Workshops)

The feedback was exciting:

"I never thought about how our personal energy and engagement effects my co-workers and especially my students. It really is a choice."--Teacher

"You did an amazing job today. The School Growth team is so knowledgeable and passionate about the dynamics that make a vibrant and healthy school. We were blessed to have you here."--Administrator

"Having an outside voice share these messages with our faculty was incredible. We needed this challenge to stay focused on what's really important. I will definitely be following up to schedule additional training and coaching."

Strategic vs. Tactical Planning
A strategic, long-term plan is important for accreditation and vision casting, but growth results more from effective tactical, short-term planning. This is a discipline that has been missing in school leadership training for far too long. The School Growth Method enables administrators to produce better results in less time with similar resources, and you'll learn how to build deeper relationships with donors and board members who more often have an entrepreneurial bent.

If you're ready to start growing, enroll in the upcoming School Growth Innovation Lab in Atlanta, September 13, 2016. (Financial aid is available for qualified schools)

750 in 45
Over the last three years, we've had the privilege of serving 750 schools in 45 states and 13 countries. Children, families, and communities benefit greatly when administrators and school boards improve the quality of their leadership and decision making. It's working!

Keep Growing,

Why Your School Needs More Ceremonies

Ceremonies are important--maybe more than you think. Schools, like every other organization, rely on ceremonies to prepare for new beginnings, acknowledge the end of seasons, celebrate growth, and establish common understanding. "They can be just as powerful when used to acknowledge difficulties, mark dark passages, and help those affected by change move on. It’s important to take a moment in difficult times to communally honor those who have made sacrifices or experienced hardship in the course of change."
